New York
The state of New York is the 3rd most populous state of the US with a population of 19 million (after California and Texas). It is situated in the North-eastern of the country. It roughly looks like an upside down pyramid. The South tip would be New York City, on the Atlantic coast. Wider and more rural, the north shares a long border with Canada.
Our trip starts in New York State.
New York City is the most populous city of the US, and the second biggest agglomeration in the world, after Tokyo. Although the capital of New York is not New York City, but Albany.
Niagara Falls are one of the main touristic attraction of New York (the best part is in Canada though ;-) )
In 1969, Woodstock Festival took place in Bethel, New York.

We first planned to start from New York City, and go through Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island, to finally cross the state line with New Jersey after about 60km. Finally, I visited New York City in April with my lovely sister. So we decided to start directly from the border of New Jersey and to not take a chance to start the bike trip in the traffic of New York City with a dog a trailer etc. Let’s start calmly!
L'État de New York est le troisième État le plus peuplé des États-Unis avec 19 millions d'habitants (après la Californie et le Texas). Il se trouve dans le Nord-Est du pays. Sa forme est grossièrement celle d'une pyramide renversée, dont le sommet, au Sud, serait la ville de New York, sur l'océan Atlantique. Dans le Nord, l'État s'élargit, et partage une longue frontière avec le Canada. C’est de New York que commence notre périple.
La ville de New York est la ville la plus peuplée des Etats-Unis et la deuxième agglomération la plus peuplée du monde après Tokyo. Cependant la capitale de New York n’est pas la ville de New York mais la ville d’Albany.
Les Chutes du Niagara (côté américain) sont une des principales attractions touristiques de l'État (mais on a la meilleure partie du côté Canadien ;-) ).
Le festival de Woodstock en 1969 a eu lieu dans l’état de New York.

Nous avions décidé au départ de démarrer l’aventure de New York et passer par Manhattan, Brooklyn et l’ile Staten pour finir par traverser la frontière avec l’Etat du New Jersey après environ 60km. Finalement, j’ai visité New York en Avril avec ma petite sœur adorée. Donc on a décidé de démarrer de la frontière avec le New Jersey et ne pas prendre le risque de démarrer l’aventure au milieu du trafic New Yorkais avec une remorque, un chien, etc.
